| To capitalise on the growing B2B supply chain
market, Attaché
has teamed with specialist web based application vendor Strategic
Ecommerce to promote their buy and sell ecommerce software.
Attaché produces the Business Partner, Catapult and Prophet
accounting software, which are the number one selling family of
mid range accounting applications in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Michael Rich, Managing Director of Attaché Software Australia
said that Strategic Ecommerce's applications offered the advantages
of EDI with additional cost benefits of using web based technology.
"Put simply, this technology is EDI over the Internet but
is low cost, easy to deploy and offers many advantages over EDI.
It should open the door to a whole range of cost savings for Attaché
clients" Mr Rich said.
"It will also make Attaché the obvious choice of accounting
package for companies looking to set up a new online business, or
with others looking to automate their supply chain dealings with
trading partners using standards-based technology."
The agreement will see Attaché and Strategic Ecommerce work
together to promote Strategic Ecommerce's online purchasing software,
StraightBUY, and Strategic Ecommerce's online catalogue software,
StraightSELL to buyers and suppliers respectively.
Strategic Ecommerce and Attaché will be targeting both existing
Attaché clients and also participants in supply chains where
significant benefits can be obtained from integrated supply chain
technology.
Attaché clients will now be able to provide their customers
with an online catalogue that shows customized prices and product
displays for each of their customers.
Orders received through the online catalogue can then be directly
imported into their Attaché Business Partner software automatically.
There is minimal effort in updating the online catalogue as changes
in Business Partner are passed to the online catalogue.
